Ok, ok. So I think I may have a new food obsession… Beer-battered veggies!!! Seriously, how have I never tried making these before?! I’ve battered many a fish, and an onion ring in my time – but never have I ever battered veggies before.

February 28, 2016Fruit Skewers – #LittleKitchen Campaign

This week I’m bringing you a little recipe that I’ve designed especially for Wren Kitchens! They got in touch with me a few weeks ago, and asked me if I’d like to get involved in their #LittleKitchen campaign.

Chocolate Chia Pudding

Three guesses what I’ve been eating a bucket load of lately?

Super Green Smoothie Bowl – #NationalBreakfastWeek

January 30, 2016Super Green Smoothie Bowl – #NationalBreakfastWeek

Ok, ok – can we all just take a quick moment to admire my new chopping board? How friggin’ cute is that!? It was bought for me as a Secret Santa gift this Christmas, and it brings a smile to my face every time I look at it. I’ve been so excited to feature it in some photos on the blog – and today I finally get to show it off!

Christmas Menu – Raw Chocolate Orange Tart

December 11, 2015Christmas Menu – Raw Chocolate Orange Tart

So here we are! The finale, the pièce de résistance, the ultimate showstopper! Completing my Christmas menu is this rich, dark and sumptuous Chocolate Orange Tart! It also just so happens to be, a raw, no-bake dessert, that’s free-from gluten, dairy and refined sugar. Wowzas. Who said Christmas couldn’t be both indulgent and healthy?

Christmas Menu – Spiced Parsnip Soup

November 22, 2015Christmas Menu – Spiced Parsnip Soup

I don’t know if you’ve noticed lately, but Christmas Day is rapidly approaching! As much as I love pretty much everything about this festive season, it can be a bit of a fiasco when you have a food allergy or intolerance.

Flu Fighting Tonic

November 8, 2015Flu Fighting Tonic

This season brings so many things I love. Knitted jumpers, leaves changing colour, cosy nights in, warm drinks – and don’t get me started on Christmas! But along with all that warm and fuzzy stuff, comes the horrors of cold + flu season. It’s unavoidable. Every year you think you’ve escaped getting ill, and then BAM, you’re sick.

September Smoothie

September 13, 2015September Smoothie

It hit me the other day that it’s been 18 months since I completely transformed my lifestyle and diet. Before that, I had been pretty sick for a while, and was just getting sicker. After far too many doctors appointments, inconclusive tests and unhelpful medications, I was near the point of giving up on myself.

Raw Matcha Macaroons

August 31, 2015Raw Matcha Macaroons

I’ve always loved matcha green tea, and not just because my favourite colour is green. I love it’s subtle earthy tones, and it’s never bitter, unlike a lot of conventional green teabags.

Coconut Quinoa Porridge

August 15, 2015Coconut Quinoa Porridge

This week I’ve been pimpin’ up porridge; combining quinoa and chia seeds to make some sort of crazy-ass supercharged porridge, that just so happens to be really good for you too.

Summer King Prawn Courgetti

July 12, 2015Summer King Prawn Courgetti

So, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, you will have probably heard of a little thing called spiralizing. One day (not so long ago) some clever clogs decided – HELL, let’s make spirals out of vegetables! Since then, it’s become one of the biggest healthy eating trends of recent years. That’s right! Goodbye carbs, wheat and after-dinner bloating – we don’t want you anymore! Now we can make spaghetti, linguine and noodles out of all kinds of veg, and we’re not looking back.

Avocado Chocolate Mousse

July 4, 2015Avocado Chocolate Mousse

I have two things to say to the person who decided to put avocado and chocolate together for the first time.

Apple Spiced Tea Cookies

May 16, 2015Apple Spiced Tea Cookies

It’s no secret – I’m a massive tea drinker. Gasp! A British girl who likes tea? Well I never… Yes, we’re a tea guzzling nation like no other, and I’m just another tea junkie. But in recent years I’ve grown out of my bog standard English Breakfast addiction, after discovering a huge variety of different blends. Who knew there was a whole big, exciting world out there filled with tea?! Fragrant, floral, spiced, iced, fruity, minty – I’ve tried them all.

Filmore and Union Review

May 9, 2015Filmore and Union Review

Finding somewhere to eat in an unfamiliar city can feel like a daunting task for those of us suffering with food allergies, intolerances or just wanting to eat clean. Especially when you don’t want to revisit the generic gluten-free menus from the usual suspect big-name chains. I don’t know about you, but when I take a trip to a new city, I want to check out unique independents or local chains, places I wouldn’t be able to find in my local hometown. Sadly that’s become a real challenge when travelling, and extensive planning and research needs to be done. Before a trip to York with my partner, I apprehensively started googling places I could eat. Quite quickly I realised, I need not have worried… I found Filmore and Union.

Vanilla CoconutTruffles

May 2, 2015Vanilla CoconutTruffles

Ok, so I’ve use the word “Truffle” very loosely here. In all honesty, these are nothing like truffles – I’m not even going to pretend. There’s not a chunk of chocolate in sight. Sorry Willy Wonka!

Flourless Mocha Cookies + A Giveaway

October 8, 2014Flourless Mocha Cookies + A Giveaway

There’s nothing quite like a good cup of coffee on a peaceful sunday morning. Within the last year, my partner Dan has introduced me to what good coffee really means. Before – my idea of a posh cup of coffee was Douwe Egberts’s Gold Blend instant. Yep. All baristas – cover your ears. Sorry.

Spiced Chocolate Orange Granola

September 28, 2014Spiced Chocolate Orange Granola

Greetings from the breakfast table! Excuse me while I finish my mouthful of granola. Ahem. This Chocolate Orange Granola is like a dessert and breakfast all in one, but I don’t feel the least bit guilty. Sorry not sorry.
